Thank You!

I want to thank my subscribers and all of those who have read Pamela’s Psychic Insights since its creation in November 2011. You may have noticed that I have been spending less time here. That’s because I have been busy with my other websites and blogs.

I’m still exploring love and intuition with my website Successful Relationships and for the year 2017 I will be writing weekly Love Affirmations. You may have noticed that some of the past posts here have been from my other blog Pamela’s Dream Blog.

Learn Dream InterpretationI’m happy to announce my new and improved Learn Dream Interpretation website that includes a blog. Obviously, the majority of the upcoming blogs will be on the fascinating subject of the dreams of the nighttime, although there will also be posts about relationships dreams. Please check out my new blog and if you like to become a follower.

Thanks you again and hugs to all of those who have read this blog. As a human being, I’ve only had so much time; and choose to let this particular blog go. Please keep in touch.

Did My Intuition Save Me From Being a Victim of Crime?

9My purpose for writing this particular blog is hopefully to help people, or at least one person with my recent experience in the criminal justice system that may prevent someone from being a victim of crime. Maybe it will change someone’s mind about committing a crime? Here goes:

My journey began a few days before the end of December 2014. It was a cold day and down-pouring rain in the city of Jacksonville, NC. In fact, if it was up North it would have been one heck of a winter blizzard. I was working at home, could see through my office window two young black men walking up to my front door, and heard my doorbell rang. I thought to myself, Grrr, not another solicitor. I had bought a no soliciting sign because that’s how many solicitors came to our door. Did they read it; not many. I went to my front door and opened up the side window by the door.

Let me stop right there. You may think it was weird that I didn’t open up the front door for these two young men that’s because I had a bad experience from a previous encounter from two young, white teenagers that year. One was very rude to me when I wouldn’t buy tickets for their local school fund raising. After that incident, I started opening up the window to get rid of solicitors faster. Besides, if anyone was trying to force their way into my home, I will be able to knee them in their face, bop them on their head with my fist, or scratch their face with my sharp fingernails.

Anyhow, one of them said to me, “Let us in.” I responded, “You are not coming into my house.” Let me pause right there. If you get anything from this article I want you to get and remember the children’s basic 101 crime prevention tip – you do not allow a stranger into your home or car. You do not get into a stranger’s car or go into their home, a building, or anywhere in Mother Nature. Got it?

Then one of them said, “You can pass me your phone through the window.”

It was then I realized I had my cell phone in my hand. My response was, “You are not getting my phone.” I was about to close the window, yet I felt sorry for them because they were drenched. I said, “I can call someone for you.”

One of them looked relieved and said, “Can you call a cab and tell them to meet us down at the end of the street by the field.” I said, ‘I can do that.”

I Googled taxi services in our area and then called the cab company for a pickup service at my street location. They were standing in the downpour with no shelter across the street from my house. I opened the door and said, “I called the cab.” One of them responded, “Thank you.”

You would have thought that would have been the end of it? Well, I thought it was quite odd that they were standing out in the downpour across the street from my house, instead of going down the end of the street where they asked for the cab to come and seeking shelter across the street underneath some trees. Instead, they were looking around the neighborhood suspiciously. My intuition was saying something was wrong here. I watched one of the men walk away and my intuition kicked in telling me warning, warning. I peered out the kitchen and bedroom windows for a view of the back of the house to see if he had gone there, I didn’t see anything, although it was hard to see in the downpour.

I thought to myself, something doesn’t feel right, I’m going to call the sheriff department. They may think I’m a crazy old lady, but better safe than sorry. What happens if they come back, at least something will be on record. I wasn’t sure how the local police would respond to a damn Yankee gal, but I was going to find out. I Googled the local sheriff’s department, call the phone number I found, and told the lady on the line my story.

To my surprise she called me back a couple of minutes later and had me describe what they were wearing and doing. A couple of hours later, my doorbell rang again! I opened the side window, was about to say can I help you, when I saw a law enforcement badge on the man’s belt and I felt cop energy emanating from the other men in the background who were combing the area on my street. I said, “Oh, you’re a sheriff, I’ll let you in.” He and three other detectives/sheriffs piled into my home, most likely to get out of the down-pour. Let me tell you something, it was intimidating having all that cop energy in the house!

The Bruiser

The Bruiser

I giggled because Merlin (my 16lb, white cat) came over and started sniffing one of the detective’s shoes. The detective asked, “Does he bite?” I answered, “Sometimes.” There’s a reason I call him The Bruiser. I picked up and held Merlin while wearing a pajama set with cat patterns on them and answered their questions. Yes, I’m sure I looked like the crazy cat lady that I am.

Fast forward a few weeks later. The reason I lived in a duplex house was my boyfriend and I were doing a year test to see if we would work together as a couple. We both passed the test, our lease ended that year, and we moved into a much bigger home on the other side of the city.

In May 2016, I was surprised to get a subpoena from the county DA Office to testify for the incident that had happened over a year ago, which I hadn’t heard anything about and thought the whole thing had blown over. I spoke to the DA and he asked if I would testify. Hello! I’m not getting put in jail for refusing to testify. The DA did tell me that one of the young men died from a drug overdose. He wouldn’t tell me what happened because he didn’t want to influence me if I was to be testifying in court. He did answer my question in regards to the cab driver that the individual was okay. The DA said the young man so far wouldn’t take the plea bargain of two years imprisonment.

I ended up getting subpoenaed three times prior to my testimony in a criminal court trial. What is really funny and a coincidence aka Godcidence is my man got a letter from the county for jury service. He joked that I would walk in the courtroom and he would say, “Hi, honey” from the jury box. I jokingly responded that I would say, “Hi, honey” back. One day he was home for a lunch break from his first day of jury service and I got a call from the DA office. I was told I needed to be in court the next day. It occurred to me a few minutes later that my honey could be picked for a juror in a court trial I am to testify in, so I called the DA’s office. My man was released from a particular trial; however, he said we couldn’t discuss why or the case that I was going to be testify in.

The criminal court proceedings are something you need to experience firsthand to truly understand it! The young man was charged with two crimes, one early in the morning, and the other in the afternoon. I heard the testimony of a female cab driver who picked up the two men, the one (who died) held a gun to her head, and she said the other one seemed surprised. Although, she said he did take her car keys. Believe me! I felt guilty because she picked them up on the street I used to live on and I called the cab for them!

Before I was called to take the witness stand, the DA asked if I recognized the man. That was a while back, both of their heads were covered, and it was down-pouring rain. I wasn’t sure if it was the young man facing the criminal charges and the DA was okay with that.

I was very nervous when I gave my testimony, yet being a radio show host and teacher gave me the confidence to get through it. I was surprised that the defense lawyer didn’t ask me if I could identify his client. He did ask me in a tone that insinuated like I was a fool, “You called the police over a phone call and your intuition?” My firm response was, “I trust my intuition and I rather be safe than sorry.” I have no idea what happened in the rest of the trial after I was excused from the courtroom.

I was feeling so horrible and guilty for what happened to the female cab driver. I did email Rev. Tiffany White Sage Woman about what was going on during this time because I needed to process it and she lives in Connecticut. Here is her guide’s response to my feelings of guilt:

No. Don’t feel guilty at all. Many of us do work with karma…I know that sounds weird, but you really are helping these guys heal spiritually. They have choices…always choices. Not your fault they chose unwisely.

You ARE a spiritual teacher!!!

The young man was found guilty and got six to nine years imprisonment.

Here’s the Godcidence – my man and I discussed the case afterwards. It turns out that they asked the possible jurors if they knew any of the witnesses that were read out loud, of course my honey raised his hand. They asked what our relationship was and his response was, “She’s my girlfriend.” They asked if he could be impartial to the case and of course he said no. He didn’t say it out loud, but was thinking, you came to my house, with an intention of messing with my woman! You’re going to jail!

You may be wondering what the Godcidence is?  There is no way the defendant’s lawyer could say that I was prejudiced against his client or that was the reason I called the cops after meeting my honey. My boyfriend isn’t Caucasian nor Black – he is of a couple of heritages. To me, it doesn’t matter what a person’s race, color, or religion is; what counts is who they are inside.

If you have gotten this far, I have a request. Please pray for all individuals that were involved in this case. I can’t even imagine what the young man’s mother is going through. The young man’s first initial who is in jail is M. God will know who it is, and please pray for him most of all. You may think that is a strange request. My hope is that his time in jail doesn’t make him into a future bitter criminal. Instead, I wish that your prayers and his inner strength give him a spiritual experience to help make M become an awesome individual in society. People can change! I am completely different at 53 than I was in my twenties.

Are you thinking of making easy money by committing a crime? Is the money really worth the loss of your time? You see, time is worth so much more than money! Our time on this planet is worth more than millions of dollars. It is important to be aware of the people you associate with, stay away from the trouble makers, and spend your precious time pursuing something to help you become a greater person that contributes to making a better planet.

Did my intuition save me from becoming a victim of crime? There is a high probably that it did. I shudder to think of what could have happened to me if I had let them in my home. So remember – always trust your intuition, better safe than sorry!

What about you? Did you avoid trouble by paying attention to your intuition? Or did you get into trouble by not listening to it?

Pros and Cons of Immediate Psychic Readings

I am celebrating my first anniversary of leaving psychic lines. Now, psychic readings in my private practice are by appointment only because I learned it benefits my clients. The following pros and cons are my observations and experiences as an adviser of immediate psychic readings.

Pro – You don’t have to wait for an appointment.

Con – It is expensive because you are paying much more per minute for the convenience of getting it immediately than you would pay for an appointment.

Pro – The majority of the lines makes their advisers go through testing before hiring them.

Con – Some lines have a lame testing process or none at all. One line tested me for two minutes before hiring me.

Pro – When you are going through a crisis you get immediate help.

Con – Your emotional energy is so overwhelming that it can get in the way of an accurate reading. Even when the psychic is accurate, you may disregard or hear the information incorrectly because you want what you want. You could spend time and money arguing with the psychic that the message they’re channeling is incorrect. Or do reading hopping with different readers to hear what you want to hear.

Pro – You can get psychic readings every day.

Con – You could become addicted to readings instead of taking responsibility for your life or dealing with your feelings. Instead of using food or a substance, you are using readings to make your life better. This keeps you stuck instead of growing. An ethical psychic wouldn’t accept calls from a client every day; however, an adviser would be fired from the psychic line for telling that to a client.

Pro – You could get your favorite psychic adviser right away.

Con – The adviser could be exhausted from caller after caller when the lines are busy. On the other hand, if the lines are slow, you may have interrupted the reader when she was on Facebook, reading a book, or watching TV and isn’t that focused to give you a reading.

These cons are some of the reasons I left the lines. Here are other personal reasons why I think appointments are better than instant readings.

  • Clients in crisis have had a little time to process their emotions; therefore the messages are usually clearer and they can hear it better.
  • The majority of my clients want to make changes and grow.
  • I can stop clients from becoming addicted to me so they have to make their own choices.
  • I am a better reader because I’m not overwhelmed from caller after caller or bored waiting for a call.
  • I get awesome messages before the session for my clients before they ask a single question.
  • I like knowing in advance what my schedule is for clients, which allows more time for projects like my upcoming eBook The Secret Language of Dreams.

If you ever do need an immediate psychic reading, I highly recommend Best Psychic Directory where I personally know some of the readers. I am available by appointments for psychic readings, coaching, and dream interpretation on my website.

An Attitude of Gratitude

The month of November always makes me think of gratitude because of the US Thanksgiving holiday. Many, many moons ago, I was estranged from my family on Thanksgiving. I was invited to share a meal at a women’s halfway house where I had volunteered at. I had a lovely time with these warm ladies and the food was wonderful. What has always stood out for me about that Thanksgiving is the end of the meal. You see, we went around the table, and each of us had to say what we were grateful for. I can’t remember what anyone or myself was grateful for, what I do remember is the magical feeling that occurred.

An attitude of gratitude can change your life around. So funny, as I typed that my guides played a song lyric from one of the Jesus Christ Superstar songs, “Look at the good things you got.” When you look at the good things you have it forces the mind and emotions to go into the positive. Positive thoughts create positive action and positive actions help to create a more positive life.

A friend of mine (who I lost touch with) was going through a very bad time and he would call me every day for support. He would often groan when I asked, “What three things are you grateful for today?” He might have complained, however he always answered, even if the answer was – I am breathing. Gratitude helped him get out of his depression.

One holiday season, someone gave me “The Simple Abundance Journal of Gratitude” by Sarah Ban Breathnach, one of the best gifts I ever got. A former roommate of mine saw my gift and she said, “You’ll start that, but you won’t finish out the year.” How wrong she was because I rarely missed a day! That journal helped me be grateful for the little things and to incorporate it into my daily living. There are some days I am grateful for the big things – moving into a bigger home, lots of clients, and going on vacation. On other days it is the smaller things – my kitties snuggling with me, someone retweet a tweet, and a good night kiss from my man. The bad times are always the hardest to find gratitude, although it is possible – pain medication that allows me to sleep in the hospital, I am able to cry during emotional pain, and I am breathing.

My question to you is, “What three things are you grateful for today?”

Why Pivotshare Got My Video Business

I have been talking to my partner about doing video tutorials for a couple of years. When I finally started it, I’m sure I drove him crazy during the process! Whew, it is a lot of work: planning the video, filming the video, creating images, at times creating audio for the slide show, and editing the video. My computer tech honey taught me some techniques and I learned a few things on my own.

I thought I was going to go with one video platform (not saying which one) because it is well known, high up in Google pages, and has traffic from other video authors. They also let you do it your way. I even used their name in a couple videos, which I later edited. I sent them an email about a month ago and never got a reply, “Strange,” I thought. I uploaded my two minutes and twenty-four second Welcome video. I kept checking for the video to finish uploading. The next morning it still wasn’t done. I sent an email to the technical department. Two days later I got disgusted and investigated other platforms.

What I liked about Pivotshare is that they don’t charge a monthly fee; the other platform did for the plan I wanted. Their video channels are very professional looking, they accept a wide variety of video formats (not the other platform), and they pay the same seventy percentage as the other. Their tutorials are a lot easier to follow. Everyone has their own channel to avoid competition, and you can always make the channel into in the future. It seemed like a good fit.

I sent them an email asking five questions about their service. They got back to me two hours later with answers to all five questions! I signed up immediately and started creating my channel. I received a welcome email a few hours later from one of the managers. He asked me how I planned on marketing it and later sent me a marketing guide. I love their customer service.

The next day, I had loaded two videos very quickly and was awaiting for the third one to finish. I decided to check my email. Lo and behold, there was an email from the other platform! It took four days for them to answer my email. What is really unbelievable is that the reply said it can take up to twenty four hours for a video to load! That was confirmation that I had made the right choice.

There are three video tutorials and a Welcome video on my channel. Please check the channel often because more are coming to expand the video library. One tutorial is free! Click to go to Pamela Cummins Channel and let me know what you think.

Self-Growth Measured By Magnets

IMG_0735I bet you are thinking to yourself, “What is this woman talking about? How in the world can you gauge your self-growth by magnets?” Let me explain, I love magnets the way most women love shoes. I started to collect magnets in my thirties and boy have they expanded beyond what you see in the picture.

In the nineties, I was dating a man who took me on his business trip to Atlantic, Georgia. On one of his days off, I wanted to either go to the Coca-Cola factory or the zoo. He chose the latter. At the gift store I bought a lion magnet and stuffed tiger. He thought those were the strangest things to buy and made remarks about it. It became very apparent during and after this trip that we were not right for each other. What was this crazy cat lady thinking of dating a man who was allergic to cats!

One of the biggest accelerator in self-growth is for people who are self-employed as healers, psychics, authors, coaches, etc. Sure, we need to learn what we specialize in, business skills, marketing, and paperwork. Those lessons seem simple compared to the lesson of self-confidence to charge what you are worth, when people want either freebies or lower prices. The self-employed also need to make boundaries with their time, what they are willing to do for their clients, subcontractors, and/or colleagues, and not to put up with unacceptable behavior.

The most important lesson for those in business for themselves is TRUST! Trust that the clients will come. Trust this is the right business to be in. Trust that the business will grow. And the scariest is trust that the bills will be met. This was a huge lesson for me. So what does that have to do with magnets? When I lived in New Jersey (in a very expensive county) the majority of my homes were with roommates. One of the things I would have to share besides the inside of the refrigerator was the outside. That’s right, often my roommates had their own magnets they wanted to put on the outside. How I disliked that, especially if they had magnets that I thought were ugly! I also couldn’t place them the way I wanted with my limited space. One man, who I went out on a couple of dates with, thought I was being ridiculous. That was the first red flag.

My last place in New Jersey had a very tiny fridge. I was able to put some of my magnets on the fridge, but not all of them because it was so small. In fact, the whole place was tiny. One man (who we kind of dated, but nothing ever amounted of it) asked, “Do you really need all those magnets?” I went through a lot of challenges during that time and he wasn’t very supportive. I ended up moving South to my sister’s home in North Carolina.

At the same time I was working with clients and as a subcontractor for psychic lines. The majority of the clients weren’t ready to make the changes for themselves, which would ripple more positive changes in their lives and all their relationships. It occurred to me that I was attracting these clients and I needed to do the work to make the changes I wanted in my life. Because I wasn’t happy with the way my business was going.

I moved into my own place. The majority of my refrigerator was covered in magnets! I continued to work on my first book and my business. I met a very nice man that understood how magnets symbolized my freedom from roommates and my personal growth. When we walk into a store that sells magnets, he will tease me by saying, “No.” But either stays or goes to another part of the store as I make my magnet choices.

Fast forward to today. I have more magnets, some I bought. Other magnets were given to me by family and friends. They are now on the top part of my fridge, the side of the refrigerator, and the beginning of a collection of “Cat Only” magnets on my file cabinet.

My magnet collection represents my life today. I have created (with the help of God, my Angels, and Guides) an awesome life! I live with my life mate in a comfortable house. I have written three books and am starting another one. The majority of my clients are willing to work on themselves to make the positive changes in their lives. Even the ones who weren’t before, are now taking baby steps. Today, I am a better businesswoman. Most important of all – I am happy with my business, life, and the direction it is going.

Is there room for growth in my business and personal life – absolutely! Or I wouldn’t be on the planet Earth. Instead, I would be eating Bon-Bon’s with my higher power in Heaven.

What about you? What is your personal symbol that measures your personal growth? Are you happy with your life? Are you willing to do the work and make the changes to make your life even more awesome?

I hope by sharing my personal story, it will inspire you to manifest your dream life! It all begins by taking the first step……

Interview on Marcia’s Book Talk

Interview w Marcia

I had a blast being interviewed by Marcia Carrington! She asked interesting questions as you will see from the following:
Welcome Pamela!
Q: For how long have you been writing?
A:  I have been writing since I was a child. I got the writer’s gene from my Father, Walter Cummins, who is an author, editor, publisher, and a semi-retired English literature college professor. I even had a poem published in a small magazine when I was eight years old.
Q: Have any life experiences inspired you to write your books?
A: My experiences with life is what inspires me to write as a non-fiction author. I began my path of healing, spirituality, and self-growth in 1989. One of my biggest challenges was my love relationships with men. I made a ton of mistakes which helped me become an expert of what not to do, but also what works in relationships. My journey along the path of growth and spirituality has made my life a million times better. My goal is sharing my knowledge so my readers have a better love life. But most importantly, empowerment and self-love for themselves.
Q: Each writer works in different ways with reference to writing. Do you have a writing program/schedule that works for you?
A: Giggle, most writers would scoff at my technique! Read the rest at Marcia’s Book Talk

Book Cover Makeover

And Paperback Giveaway

PWoLR New eBook CoveI am delighted with my new book cover for Psychic Wisdom on Love and Relationships designed by Breeliant Designs! They captured just what I was looking for.

Last week I was reading a post in a book marketing group on LinkedIn from a woman regarding the cover for her new book and the feedback from the other authors. And my guides told me it was time for a new cover.

I hemmed and hawed about it because my Dad, who is an author, editor, publisher, and retired (LOL, yeah right) English Literature professor, created the first cover for that book. There was a part of me that felt bad about it and I didn’t want to insult him. Obviously, he didn’t have an issue with it. I forgot how much work it was to update everything besides Amazon, Smashwords, and my website. I had to redesign my Facebook cover and the headers for LinkendIn, Google Plus, and YouTube – whew! I left my book trailer alone because that is a major project. Perhaps in the future, I will do another.

Merlin & BookThe paperback is in the process of being updated and is unavailable at the moment. Merlin, aka The Bruiser, is demanding another photo shoot with the new cover once it is done. And Master Merlin has given his slave permission to give away three paperback copies of the former cover. The first three people (within the United States) who email me, will get a return email, and a copy of the book mailed to them. Please email me at

Psychic Wisdom on Love and Relationships is available at Amazon, Smashwords, Barnes and Noble, iBooks, Kobo, and Google Play. Oyster and Scribd subscribers will find the eBook there too.

Happy reading and don’t forget to leave a review!

Endings and New Beginnings

LC logo

Have you ever felt that changes were coming but did not know how it would happen? It can be scary and exciting at the same time. This is what happened to me and I just had to share it!

For the last five months I have been hemming and hawing about what to do about one of my two radio shows. Should I keep it or let my Tuesday evening show go? The Love Channel Show on Tuesday evenings on Blogtalk Radio is all about educating the public and interviewing wonderful guests. I was getting much more archive listens than live listeners. Decisions, Decisions, how us Libras dislike making decisions!

A couple of weeks ago I felt the push to let the live show go and possibly do podcasts in 2015. I am keeping my Wednesday, 3pm Eastern, The Love Channel Show with True Psychic Networks Pamela-Cummins-TPN-Radio-300x232on Blogtalk Radio. I do free psychic readings mixed in with a topic for each show. That felt right to me, and for some reason I didn’t book the November 4th evening show. I wonder if it was because of Mercury Retrograde and maybe one of my shows would have issues that would need to be rescheduled for that day.

One of my friends has been pushing me to do outside work for quite some time and when I moved to Jacksonville, NC I decided to give it a go. I spent a day with my niece last February in Wilmington, NC, dropping off a resume with a business card to a number of places. At Harmony Yoga I said to my niece, “This place feels familiar. I think I been here before or dreamed about it.” I didn’t get a response from anyone. So I decided to send out a bunch of emails to local businesses in Jacksonville instead of stopping by. Again, nothing happened. So I let the idea of working outside of my home go.

In September I got a reading from Belle Salibsury and she told me to look for outside work. That there was a place that I would fit right in. I thought to myself, “Been there, done that, not going to do it again.” Besides, I love working from home in my jammies. Although there was another part of me that had cabin fever and wanted to do in-person sessions.

A few days after I made the choice to let go of my radio show, I got the message from my guides to look for outside work. I said to God, “OK God, if you want me to work outside of the house, bring it to me because I’m not going to look for it.”

The next day I got an email from the owner of Harmony Yoga bg_iid5in Wilmington to get in touch with her regarding an office share with another intuitive. When I called, she said to me, “I walked into my office, put my coffee cup down, and coffee spilled onto your card. I thought to myself, “Why don’t I get in touch with her about the office?” How cool is that, God in action!

The reason I did not book a show on November 4th was that will be my first day at my new office! I do have a commitment for a guest on November 11th so I will miss a Tuesday at the office. My last show will be Monday, November 17th, and the topic is Gratitude.

If you are ever in Wilmington, NC, please stop by and see me at my office. I am excited about my new beginnings there. I hope by sharing my experience, it will help you to trust and go with the flow!

Ewww, Bugs

The world of bugs for the most part creeps me out, yet certain bugs have fascinated me. I can still remember at the age of five being memorized as I watched an ant tribe at work. Lightening bugs are what started me on crafting jewelry. I used to pull their lights off and make rings and bracelets out of them!
My Father almost had a heart attack when I let out a blood cudgeling scream. He ran into the bathroom. I pointed into the tub and said, “Spider.” I don’t remember the details of my dream when I was nine or ten, what I do remember is dreaming about bugs in a negative way. Imagine my relief when I woke up and remembered that it was wintertime. I never wanted summer to come.
In the mid to late 80’s, I had my own apartment in Parsippany, New Jersey that had an infestation of water ants. My place had an exterminator over a couple of times. It was wintertime, I had no control over the heat, and it was always very hot in my place. So hot that I always got dressed for work five to ten minutes before I left so I wouldn’t sweat in my work clothes. My clothes needed ironing and I turned on the iron about fifteen minutes before I had to leave. I got ready to iron my clothes and all these ants came pouring out of the iron. The water inside the iron was getting hot and they didn’t want to get boiled alive. Needless to say, I freaked, went to work in wrinkly clothes, and my former landlord got a phone call!
Four years ago this Jersey Girl moved to Morehead City, North Carolina. I was driving around wondering what all this stuff on my windshield was. It dawned on me that what was all over my windshield was bug’s guts, yuck! One summer the mosquitos were so bad that they were biting my ankles in the car when my foot was on the gas petal. And the cats need flea treatment all year round. Gotta love Eastern Carolina.
The other wonderful, gross bugs in Eastern Carolina are water bugs aka Cucarachas. It doesn’t matter how clean mine or anyone’s house is, we still got them. My kitty, Merlin, liked to flip them over, and spin them around. He, he, he, good kitty! They usually were downstairs but one night Merlin chased one upstairs. After a while Merlin got tired of playing with the bug and left it on the floor a few feet by my bed. I told Merlin to, “Get the buggie.” He gave me a kitty yawn, turned his head, and refused to save me from the bug.
I knew there was no way I could read, let alone sleep later, knowing this gross bug was in my room. It could crawl on me while I was asleep. So, I grabbed my Charka spray that has a bunch of different essential oils in it. I sprayed that sucker good. The Cucaracha was walking funny but not dead. So I grabbed a bottle of “Sweet Pea” spray and doused him good. He was very weak, I grabbed a half a roll of toilet paper, scooped him up, and flushed the disgusting bug down the toilet. OK, I felt guilty about torturing the poor thing afterwards. It would have been more humane to kill the water bug quickly. But I did suffer because my room stank from the Charka oil and “Sweet Pea,” gag!
Got any bug stories to share?
